Graduate Applicants
Thank you for your interest in working with us at the Laboratory of Advanced Studies in Electric Power and Integration of Renewable Energy Systems. Please get acquainted with our research interests and look over our recent publications. If your research interests matches with ours, please consider applying for graduate admission to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Austin.
Our Laboratory is part of Energy Systems academic track in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Information on graduate admissions can be obtained from the ECE department and the Cockrell School of Engineering.
Admitted Applicants
If you are already admitted and considering to work with us, please send an email to Prof. Santoso. In your email, please state your research interests, describe whether you are good at working with hardware equipment (i.e., an experimentalist) or with simulation and modeling (i.e., a theorist), your most important publications, and resume. Teaching and research assistantships will be provided to intelligent, resourceful, self-motivated, and independent students with excellent writing skills.
If you are an M.S. student, you must commit to take the thesis option (EE 698A and EE698B) and produce at minimum one technical conference or transactions paper based on your research project. If you are Ph.D. student, you must commit to produce a technical conference or transactions paper prior to taking the qualifying exam. You must have two or more technical papers published or submitted prior to your Ph.D. defense.
